What we build
Facing brick for homes, apartments and commercial buildings. Reveals, soldier courses and corners repeated plot after plot, to the same gauge every time.
Extensions, inner leaves, partitions and retaining walls, coordinated with your engineer so openings and bearings land exactly where they should.
Period and listed buildings, handled gently: matched bricks, breathable lime mortars and repairs you cannot pick out from the original.
Herringbone, corbelling, curved walls and patterned bonds. The details architects draw and most contractors quietly avoid.

From the first course of a new home to the lime repointing of a listed terrace, every Brickly wall is built by the same people, to the same standard.
Facing brickwork for private homes, developments and commercial buildings. We set out carefully, keep gauge and line plot after plot, and treat the reveals, soldier courses and corners as the details that make a building.
Extensions, inner leaves, partition walls, retaining walls and padstones. We work from your engineer’s drawings and coordinate with the wider team so openings, levels and bearings arrive exactly where they are needed.
Period and listed buildings deserve patience. We rake out by hand, match bricks by colour, size and texture, and use breathable lime mortars so the wall can keep doing what it has done for a century or more.
Herringbone and basket-weave panels, corbelled and dentil courses, curved walls, hit-and-miss screens and garden walls with proper piers and copings. If it has been drawn, we will build it, and we will set out a sample first.
Good questions
Yes. We work directly for homeowners on extensions, restoration and garden walls, and for developers, architects and main contractors on larger schemes. The standard is the same either way.
In most cases, yes. We source reclaimed or new bricks matched by colour, size and texture, and agree the mortar colour and joint on a small sample before any work starts.
We can supply everything, or work with materials you or your contractor have chosen. Either way, the quotation shows exactly what is included.
After a survey, or from your drawings, we send a fixed, itemised quotation with a materials schedule and programme. No vague day rates, and no surprises halfway through.
We are based in Luton, Bedfordshire, and our recent projects span Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire. If you are further afield, ask anyway: we travel for the right project.

Brickly is a team of bricklayers and builders who believe a wall should be as good up close as it is from the street.
Our story
Brickly started with a trowel, a spirit level and a simple idea: do it properly, or not at all. That idea still sets out every job we take on, from a garden wall to a whole development.

Materials
Colour, texture and size vary from batch to batch. We blend from several packs as we build, agree mortar on a sample panel and protect finished work at the end of every day, because the finish is the whole point.
